As you've probably noticed by now, LiveJournal has been trying to get users to vote for it in the 'Webby Awards' as a write-in candidate. The guy behind Blogger, Evan Williams, has recently got wind of this and pushed for Blogger users to vote for Blogger (a site which was already an option, rather than a write-in) to beat LiveJournal.
The people high up at LiveJournal, most notably Mark our 'All-things-business' manager, are very keen for LiveJournal, which wasn't even nominated, to beat Blogger on the write-in vote, where people are able to vote for sites which aren't already nominated.
If you'd like to show your appreciation for LiveJournal, as well as attracting publicity and therefore more users which may potentially pay for the service and fund future development, I encourage you to vote for LiveJournal in the personal site category write-in.
For more information, including Mark's views on why LiveJournal should win a Webbie, see the thread on the subject over in the LiveJournal Business Discussion Community.
